CELEBRATION OF NEW MINISTRY 
Thursday, 15 Sept, 7:00 pm at St. Stephen’s Church. 
All are welcome and encouraged to attend!  This service will formally mark 
a new time of ministry in our parish with Fr. Ian’s induction as our Rector.  
The Covenant in Ministry for our Parish is available at worship today. 
Please take a copy with you, and feel free to direct any questions you have about it
to the Rector and Wardens.  It will be signed at the Celebration in September.

in the Royal Canadian Legion, Chester.
New donors welcome!

LIGHTHOUSE FOOD BANK FUND RAISER - The Chester Food Bank is hoping to raise money
for food and supplies  by participating in the Vesey’s Bulbs Fundraising Program.
It’s a win/win situation for all of us. We order fabulous bulbs or other great products from the catalogue
and 50% of every purchase amount goes back to the Food Bank.
Catalogues are available at the back of the church or can be viewed online at

and record the collections each Sunday.  If you would like to sign up to assist in this regard,

COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER – A benefit will be held on Sat, 20 August at the Chester Legion
for Harold Acker, an East River Community member who lost his home
and all his belongings to a house fire on 4 July.  He did not have insurance.
Our mission is to help Harold have a home again.
There will be a cold plate dinner (Salads, Turkey, Ham and Desserts $10; Child’s Plate $6, (under 5 yrs free)
Silent Auction and Dance. 
A kind gesture will make a great impact.
