LIGHTHOUSE FOOD BANK DONATIONS: All donations are gratefully received but if you are wondering what to donate, there is  a shortage of breakfast  type foods at the food bank.  Donations of oatmeal, cereals or peanut butter  would be very welcome.
 
MUSICAL FRIENDS - 2:00 - 3:15 pm, 3:15 - 4:00 Musical Band, 4:00-4:30 pm Tuneful Tots on Monday, 27 April in Tuck Hall.
 
PARISH COUNCIL MEETING TIME: Members are asked to note that we will  be switching our regular meeting time to the 4th Monday of each month at the usual time of 7:00 p.m.  The next meeting will be 27 April in Tuck Hall.
 
S.C.A.N.S. - Microbiology - 2:00 - 4:00 pm, Wednesday, 29 April in Tuck Hall.
S.C.A.N.S. - ‘The Rector’s Wife’ - 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Friday, 1 May in Tuck Hall.
 
OUR HEALTH CENTRE plans to hold a Yard Sale at the OHC site on Saturday, 2 May.  Please call 902-275-3173 for drop off locations before 2 May or bring your items to the site that day.
 
ROAD TO RECOVERY WALK - The Lunenburg County Chapter of the Schizophrenia Society of Nova Scotia have arranged a 4.3 km walk in Bridgewater to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding all mental illnesses. For information call 902-527-1692 or go to www.ssns.ca

ST. STEPHEN’S MEN’S CHOIR PRACTICE - will be held on TUESDAY, 5th May at 7:00 pm in St. Stephen’s Church for the Mother’s Day Service on 10th May.  All welcome, no experience necessary. Practices end in time to catch the nightly play offs.
 
SHOREHAM VILLAGE: Feeding with Sensitivity Training - for people who want to help the elderly eat well will be offered on Thursday, 7 May from 1:00-3:00 pm in the OT Room at Shoreham Village. For information please call Corinne Webber at 902-275-5631 ext 246.
 
RELAY FOR  LIFE - Registrations are being taken for teams and volunteers for the 10th Chester Municipal Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life to be held from 6:00pm to midnight on June 19 at Chester Area Middle School. (CAMS).  Orders are also being taken for luminary candles ($5.00 each).  Please contact Sheila Hirtle 275-5720 or 275-5966.  Any survivors wishing to attend the relay  are asked to call Gerri Allen 275-3817 to register.

INTEGRITY EUCHARIST: The next regular Integrity Eucharist, followed by refreshments and conversation, will be held on the third Sunday, April 19th at 4:00pm. at the Cathedral Church of All Saints, 1330 Martello Road, Halifax.The Rev. Canon David Fletcher, Parish of Lantz will preside, and Rev. Canon John Smith, Hon. Assist. Cathedral will be homilist. Integrity is a national Anglican organization formed to encourage and support Christian GLBTQ persons and their friends in their spiritual lives in a safe and welcoming place, and to experience acceptance in an inclusive church. Whoever you are, and where ever you are on your spiritual journey you are welcome to share in this Eucharistic celebration. Even if you are only curious, you are welcome to come and see! Please note that the 11am service at St. Stephen’s this Sunday (April 12th) will not be our usual Eucharist but a special Service of Readings and Music for Easter featuring our fabulous choir and organist.
