BLOOD DONOR CLINIC - book an appointment for the Mon., Nov. 24th Blood Donor Clinic to be held at the Chester Legion from 1 - 3 pm, and from 5 - 8 pm.  .  Call 1-888-236-6238. 
    
ECUMENICAL PRAYER BREAKFAST - St. Stephen’s is hosting a one hour ecumenical Prayer Breakfast on the last Saturday of each month.  For  November that will be next Saturday, November 29th from 9 - 10 am in Tuck Hall.  Breakfast will be provided. A free will offering is encouraged.

ST. STEPHEN’S CHRISTMAS BAZAAR - keep your calenders marked for Saturday, November 22nd for St. Stephen’s Hospitality Annual Christmas Bazaar!  Donations are needed from Parishioners of books, Christmas items and baked goods.  The bazaar doors will open at 11 am on Saturday,  22nd of November, and lunch will be served from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm.  Lunch will include a variety of soups, homemade bread, apple crisp, tea & coffee.  Adults $8.00, children under 10, $5.00.

SETON CANATA CHOIR -  under the direction of Garth MacPhee, with accompanist Dean Bradshaw, will perfom on November 29th, 7 pm, at the Chester United Baptist Church.  Concert highlights will include delightful choral works by Benjamin Britton and R. Vaughan Williams.  Admission is by free will offering.

MUSIQUE ROYAL - concert series at St. John’s Anglican Church, Lunenburg, will feature Don Pasquale on Fir., Nov. 28th, 7:30 pm
CHRISTMAS TREE SALES & ACTIVITIES - Buy your family’s freshly cut 7 ft. tree ($20) and enjoy the activities on Dec. 5th, 4 - 6:30 pm and Dec. 6th, from 11 am - 6:30 pm at the East River Village Hall. On Friday, Dec. 5th there will be Hot Chocolate, a Carol Sing and Tree Lighting at 6:30 pm.  On Saturday come enjoy the Children’s Christmas Craft and cookie decorating, hot chocolate and Christmas music.  To pre-order your tree please call 275-5720.

ST. GEORGE’S LOBSTER SUPPER AND CHRISTMAS VARIETY SHOW -   will take place on Sunday, December 14th: supper 4 - 6:30 and the Variety Show from 6:30 - 8:30 pm ($5, tickets at the door).  Supper is a 1 lb lobster with salads, roll and dessert ($15).  Also available Turkey Salad Plate ($9) and a Child’s Salad Plate ($4).  Supper tickets must be pre-ordered by December 13th.  Call Sheila Hirtle, 275-5720; Vicky Young, 275-4219; Eugene and Grace Cook, 857-3585.  A Bake Table will also be feature to help with your Christmas baking!

DIOCESE YOUTH AND FAMILY MINISTRY COORDINATOR POSITION - the Diocese of NS and PEI need your support to fund this important program with your tax deductible gift.  There are brochures at the back of the Church with more details on this important Anglican Diocese initiative.

SOUTH SHORE PLAYERS’ CHRISTMAS PLAY - The Wizard of Oz will be performed by the South Shore Players at the Pearl Theatre, Bridgewater, on Nov. 28th & 29th , Dec. 5th & 6th, at 7 pm.  Two matinee performances will be held on Saturday Dec. 13th  and Sunday Dec. 14th at 2 pm.  Tickets $20 adults, $12 children–available at www.southshoreplayers.com.  For more information please call 902-531-2258.

PLEASE BRING TO THE DECEMBER 7TH SERVICES

FOOD BANK TURKEY BUCKS - if you have Foodland Turkey Bucks that you are not using, please donate to the Food Bank so they may purchase turkeys for the Christmas food hampers.

CHRISTMAS PERSONAL CARE GIFT BAGS - The Pastoral Care/Outreach Committee wants to place personal care gift bags in the Christmas Hampers of people who need to use the food bank at this special time of year in our Christian Calender.  We have placed lists of suggested items with bags at the back of the Church.
  
MISSIONS TO SEAFARERS SHOEBOX PROJECT– This Anglican Church Mission serves Many men and women who arrive in our province during winter ill equipped to survive in the cold and with no money.  This is likely the only gift these folks will receive.  In the Church Vestibule you will find a list of needed items to go in the box which you can take home as a checklist.  Please don’t wrap your box-– just tie with string or ribbon so the boxes can be checked for security reasons.
