Advent Quiet Day & Reflection
featuring: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love.
Wednesday, December 10, 2014
9:45a.m. to 2:00p.m.
St. Stephen’s Parish Community Centre
It is very easy to get caught up in all the hustle and bustle of preparing for Christmas. Advent is a time of preparation and the looking forward, with hope, towards the coming of our Lord Jesus-Emmanuel-the Prince of Peace. A day of quiet reflection halfway through the Advent Season is just what the doctor ordered to help with the rejuvenation and freshening necessary to keep us focused on the real meaning of Christmas, and to provide energy for all that baking, shopping, wrapping, and decorating that is so much a part of our secular world at this time of year.
Take time to share and reflect on what Advent means to you in the midst of your busy schedule
Let it refresh you

Messy Church in East River

We now hold Messy Church on the last Sunday of each month at 11am. This month, our Messy Church will be hosted by St. George's, East River, at the Union Hall, past the Church building on the road to Blandford on Sunday, March 30th. This is the 125th anniversary year of St. George's Church Building and the International Year of the Family. As we gather as parish family, this will be  a great opportunity to focus on "Family". We will have our usual fun worship, food, activities, and fellowship. Everyone is welcome!

Friday 24 January 2014

MESSY CHURCH – Our next Messy Church will be on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. at our Parish Centre in Chester. As we draw near to St. Valentine’s Day, we will be exploring the theme of love. This is also Birthday Sunday, so we’ll have Birthday Cake, a lunch, and the usual fun Crafts & M usic along with our Worship. All are welcome!
